Thick: You're a well known singer in Asia, how did you come to acting?
Rain: I wanted to be an actor when I was young. So, finally I made it. I have a role model, Al Pacino. I loved Scarface.

T: Alright, that's cool, so what was your first film?
R: My first movie is I'm A Cyborg But That's OK. That is a black comedy. The director is Mr. Park Chan-wook Yu. Do you know Park Chan-wook?
T: Yeah, for sure.
R: He's amazing. It was a great experience. That was my first Korean film. My second film is Speed Racer with the Watchowski Brothers, and the third one is Ninja Assassin.

T: So, Speed Racer is where you met James McTeigue?
R: When we were working on Speed Racer, Larry and Andy approached me and I said, yes. And then about James, he's a great director. I love his directing style. H's awesome. He's always humble to everybody. They have amazing abilities to make dreams come true. Powerful imagination. I love them.

T: Ninja Assassin must have been a physically demanding movie but since you come from a performance background, was it an easy transition?
R: I trained a lot. I had to make my body fit like Bruce Lee. First, I trained for eight months, five days a weeks, eight hours a day. I ate only chicken breast and vegetables. It was hard. And second of all, I learned a lot of martial arts: Taekwondo, Tai Chi, Kung-Fu with sword and double sword, chain and shuriken...a lot!
