We recently received a three song CD from Toronto's So Sick Social Club to bump and evaluate. Equipped with fat sounds and deft production, this rhythmic metal fusion group is a well-oiled killing machine fit to slaughter listeners en masse. Run, the third cut here, is the more Hip-Hop oriented of the tracks and the highlight for sure. Of course there is always room to grow. Some of the tracks could use minor tweaks in the mix to help bring the vocals forward...but the relentless energy of the guitars and drums make a strong argument to keep the vocals in the background. Always wanting to keep an eye on Canadian talent, Thick highly recommends SSSC for anyone into ICP, Kottonmouth Kings or Tech N9ne.
