Thick: Slip'N Slide just signed a multi-million dollar contract with Def Jam that involved you and Rick Ross. Speak on it.
Citty: I was already at Slip'N Slide and basically, Jay-Z just took to Ted Lucas' vision. The first two artists is me and Rick Ross. Rick Ross first, and then me. We already have projects underway, like we been recording for our albums. That's basically what happened, Jay-Z just backing up the vision of Ted Lucas and they just worked out a deal.

T: So, how come you and Rick Ross went to Def Jam when all the other Slip'N Slide artists are on Atlantic?
C: Basically, he had deals with Atlantic. I really don't know the details. They recently completed the deal with Plies with Atlantic. Def Jam, I guess it was just another move, another way to build a relationship with other people in the industry on Ted Lucas' part. That's how I see it. It was just another power move dealing with another major label besides Atlantic. Instead of just having everybody go to Atlantic.
